Punching up the basic image:Often the image pulled from the camera is a little dull. The image can be rescued in PhotoEnhancer (supplied with the DC50) by increasing both the brightness and contrast. The left side of the image is as originally pulled from the camera, while the right side has been enhanced.

This is a GIF image, linking to a half-size GIF. The original was full resolution, and when printed was good enough to use for a book cover (unfortunately, only the kind you insert into a three-ring binder). This was taken in early autumn at a local historic site. A hundred meters behind me an eight-lane highway buzzed and roared, but the trees kept this spot relatively quiet.

The classic use for the DC50 camera. Incidentally, this was my house....but I sold it....
