This is a medium resolution image.

The left side is the original image from the DC50, while the right side was "punched up" in brightness and contrast until it looked ok on my monitor (your mileage may vary). Printing from this image to my HP850C gives a reasonably good result because I've roughly calibrated the monitor and the printer.

It's possible that a little work with the exposure control would have given a better original result. I've tried to use the camera in point-and-shoot mode as much as possible so far in order to establish a baseline. When I'm more familiar with the results I can expect from the camera in this mode I'll get a little more adventurous.
